Are you tired of crooked or crowded teeth that mar the appearance of your otherwise healthy smile? It can be frustrating as an adult to deal with tooth alignment issues; you know you should address the problem, but your life is too busy to deal with brackets and wires on your teeth.

You’ll be pleased to know that Invisalign is a short-term treatment that was developed for adults just like you! Instead of brackets and wires that can be difficult to wear, Invisalign uses clear plastic trays that are customized to move your teeth gently into their ideal positions.

How Invisalign Works

The first step is an evaluation where Dr. Joo Young will examine your teeth and take digital images and x-rays. These will be used to plan your treatment, step by step until the desired results are achieved. This information is sent to an Invisalign lab where several sets of aligners are customized just for you.

In a couple of weeks, we’ll have you return to our office to give you your aligners and explain how to use them. You will be instructed to wear each set of aligners for about two weeks then move to the next set in the series. Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating and oral hygiene, but you must wear them at least 22 hours a day to see results in the shortest amount of time.

Benefits of Invisalign Treatment

We recommend treatment with Invisalign for Barrie, ON patients with mild to moderate alignment issues. Our patients prefer Invisalign because the aligners are comfortable and so discreet that most people don’t notice them.

If you have been considering treatment with Invisalign but aren’t sure how to start, please call Park Place Dental. We will be happy to arrange a consultation with one of our doctors to explain how Invisalign works and decide if it’s the best solution for you.
